maRTINA bAUHAUS FOR DISTRICT COURT JUDGE DEPT. 23

Martina Bauhaus is an experienced Nevada attorney with over twenty years of civil and criminal legal experience. Martina is running for District Court Judge to serve the community with fairness, integrity, and respect for the rule of law.

MEET MARTINA

Serving as a judge is a profound responsibility that requires fairness, integrity, and sound judgment. A judge must apply the law impartially, decide cases based on facts and evidence, and treat every individual who enters the courtroom with dignity and respect. Martina Bauhaus’ professional experience and personal journey have prepared her to serve with these principles at the forefront.

Martina immigrated from Germany to the United States in 1994 after marrying an American soldier. She is the first in her family to attend college and earn an advanced degree. Raised by a single mother, Martina learned early the value of hard work, perseverance, and personal responsibility—values she now passes on to her daughter as a single mother herself.

Before law school, Martina worked a wide range of jobs to support herself, including construction billing, manufacturing, and factory work. During law school, she worked as a cocktail waitress and served as a shop steward for the Culinary Union. These experiences gave her a deep respect for working families and a firsthand understanding of the challenges people face outside the courtroom.

Martina brings over twenty years of legal experience in both civil and criminal law. Throughout her career, she has learned that judicial temperament matters as much as legal knowledge. A judge must remain composed under pressure, foster respect in the courtroom, and recognize that every case involves real people and real consequences.

As an immigrant and lifelong public servant, Martina understands the importance of equal justice under the law. By applying the law fairly and impartially—and by drawing on real-life experience—she is committed to serving the community with integrity.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

  • Fairness and Impartiality

Every person who comes before the court deserves equal treatment under the law. Martina is committed to ensuring that all parties are heard and that decisions are grounded in evidence and legal precedent.

  • Judicial Temperament

A judge must remain calm, patient, and respectful—especially in difficult or emotionally charged cases. Martina understands that how justice is delivered matters just as much as the outcome.

  • Respect for the Rule of Law

The courts are a cornerstone of our democracy. Martina is committed to upholding the rule of law and maintaining public confidence in the judicial system through fairness, transparency, and integrity.

MARTINA IS READY TO SERVE.
